Concorde Career College, formerly Concorde Career Institute, is a collection of higher learning institutions boasting 16 campuses across the nation. The campus in San Diego offers students an LVN program which is currently ranked 10th in the entire state of California. The college was originally established in 1966, and has since expanded its programs to include a variety of degree options in addition to vocational nursing. Concorde prepares its students for gainful employment in the fulfilling LVN field by way of its first-rate program which encompasses in-class, didactic study, laboratory simulations and clinical training. The program at Concorde can be completed in 51 to 80 weeks depending on whether the student is attending the full (daytime) or part-time (evening) program. The LVN program is comprised of 640 in-class lecture hours and 954 laboratory/clinical hours. In order to successfully complete the vocational nursing program, students are required to complete a total of 90.5 (quarter) unit hours. CCC assists its students with job placement following the completion of the program.

Potential students seeking to enroll in BC’s LVN program must:
- Be able to speak, read and write English fluently
- Hold a valid high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old prior to beginning the program
- Submit official transcripts from all high schools, colleges or universities attended
- Provide the necessary documents proving the student has successfully completed the required immunizations, pathology tests and health examinations
- Submit proof of current CPR certification
- Take and pass a toxicology/chemical substance test
- Submit to and pass a criminal background check
- All applicants must meet with an Admissions Representative who will conduct an informal interview
- All applicants need to take and pass the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE), and score a minimum of 21; students who have obtained a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree are not required to take the SLE exam
